Since day one of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to take ownership of my role and develop my projects and responsibilities in a highly strategic way. I’ve honed the ability to approach problems from multiple perspectives, create options and ‘try on’ different solutions to achieve the best possible results. This way of thinking is different from traditional client-designer or boss-employee relationships where after receipt of the specs you’d spend hours off designing the end-product with zero communication while running the risk of missing the mark or having to circle back and start over at any point.
Using iterative development has helped me solve complex problems quickly while staying in complete alignment with my team thanks to tight feedback loops. I’ve applied this strategy of problem solving to all areas of work, primarily in UX/UI but also for logos, ad campaigns and marketing materials.
